As has become annual tradition by this point, I’ll look back on all 52 Sidemen Sundays of 2024 and rank them worst to best (based on my personal, incorrect opinions).
This was their best year yet in some regards, but their worst in others. I have a thing or two to say about their content, so let’s get to it!
Before we begin, you can check out some of my related blog posts below:
Couldn’t Finish
52 – Christmas Cook Off
For better or worse I finished every Sidemen video in 2024 … except one.
I don’t know why, but everyone seemed to be in a terrible mood for the Christmas Cookoff (especially Ethan). They were all mean to Vik, and none of them really tried. Not the kind of “entertainment” I want to see.
Could’ve Been MoreSidemen
51 – YouTubers Control What Sidemen Eat For A Day
Every now and again they do a boring eating video. It gets a lot of views, I guess …
The YouTuber aspect made it vaguely interesting but still a snoozefest.
50 – Ultimate Calorie Battle
More eating. More boredom on my behalf.
49 – The Greatest Sidemen Moments 2024
I usually rank the compilations at the bottom of these year-end lists, but I had a better time than I thought with 2024’s best moments.
It was edited well, and the clips they used were all funny.
48 – $1,000,000 Reality Show: Inside Final
Time for my Sidemen hot take of 2024 – I didn’t like or follow the Inside competition.
By the time the finale rolled around I had no idea what was going on as I’d missed the previous five episodes.
47 – $1,000,000 Reality Show: Inside Ep 1
Like I said, I didn’t really get into Inside.
It’s a cool concept, to be fair, and I wouldn’t be opposed to a season 2 as many fans seemed to like it … but it wasn’t my personal cup of tea.
46 – Among Us In Real Life: KSI Masterclass
It wouldn’t be the last time in 2024 that an Among Us video was actually just more rounds of a pre-existing video … but I wasn’t in the mood to watch “KSI Masterclass”.
It was too similar to the YouTuber Edition, and I zoned out for most of it.
Decent
45 – Kids & Grandparents Brutally Rate The Sidemen
A neat idea for a one-off, harmless video. The old folks were funnier than expected too. Shame the kids were really cringe.
44 – Abandoned In Ireland Challenge
You have to be in a certain mood to watch these long travel videos.
Unfortunately, I was quite impatient watching “Abandoned In Ireland Challenge” and found little to entertain me.
43 – Survive 24 Hours In UK’s Most Haunted House
A trainwreck compared to the Sidemen’s lofty standards, but an amusing trainwreck.
The haunted house idea was painfully under-utilised, and there was a lot of waiting around, but the amateur nature of it made it endearing.
42 – Food Truck Road Trip
Another of the noticeably lesser quality Sidemen videos this year – even the lads themselves seemed to be fed up of the food truck competition by the end.
It was a fun idea either way, even if the execution was a bit off.
41 – Last To Leave The Football Pitch
I like watching a YouTuber football video every now and again … but it’s weird seeing the Sidemen resort to such a basic premise these days.
Zerkaa was on fire.
40 – Hide & Seek In UK’s Biggest Shopping Centre
The huge shopping centre was cool, but Hide & Seek videos in general have run their course.
39 – £1000 Boat Challenge
Good vibes, boring video.
38 – Hide & Seek At W2S House
Another run-of-the-mill Hide & Seek. Some decent individual moments, though.
37 – $500,000 VS $500 Mobile Home Road Trip
A decent video, but Ethan’s asthma attack dampened the mood.
36 – How Many Countries Can You Visit In 24 Hours?
I don’t mind the competitive aspect of visiting as many countries as possible, but the teams felt really disconnected as a result.
35 – Forfeit Foot Golf
A simple video that ended up being quite fun.
34 – Guess The Price Or Do A Forfeit
One of the less exciting game shows of the year.
33 – Extreme Home Makeover
This isn’t a conventional Sidemen video by any means, but I quite liked “Extreme Home Makeover”.
They could do something nice for fans AND make good content.
32 – Most Expensive Car Challenge
JME’s inclusion will always lead to a banger video, and the constant car swapping kept things fresh.
31 – One Million Pound Drop (IRL Challenge Edition)
A fun twist on a tame premise.
30 – Hunted Across The UK
The best part of “Hunted Across The UK” was how the teams didn’t know they were being hunted.
There weren’t many exciting moments, but it picked up in a few key places.
29 – Sidemen Stay At World’s Weirdest Airbnbs
It’s a testament to how far the Sidemen have come that a video like “Sidemen Stay At World’s Weirdest Airbnbs” doesn’t even crack the top half of the ranking.
Good video, but I watched better in 2024.
Banger
28 – How Far Can You Get In 24 Hours
Unless I’m mistaken, this was the first time they used a bingo card as a way of generating team funds – a brilliant idea I hope they always use moving forwards.
Like with Ethan’s asthma attack in the mobile home road trip video, Vik being ill was a downbeat way to end things.
27 – We Raced Across The World’s Richest Country In 24 Hours
Nothing beats a good ol’ fashioned race.
I like how they started at exact opposite ends of the country.
26 – Among Us Cooking Challenge
Not as eventful as the Among US IRL videos, but the goal to sabotage your cooking team made for fun moments.
25 – $1 VS $10,000 Mystery Box
I was glad to see the mystery box video idea return, and this one had a lot of great moments, but I think the idea has run its course now.
24 – Spend $100,000 On Each Other: Forfeit Edition
It’s always wholesome seeing the boys buying gifts for one another.
It’s a lot less wholesome (and a lot more hilarious) seeing them steal those same gifts from one another.
23 – The Chase: Sidemen Edition
Like with The Wheel (also hosted by StephenTries, now that I think about it), the Sidemen’s ability to bag these big sets will never cease to amaze me.
Vik absolutely destroyed them as the Chaser, and the Bradley Walsh cameo was funny.
22 – Would I Lie To You: Sidemen Edition
I wish the guests were a bit more personal to the Sidemen, but the format led to some really funny stories and discussions.
21 – Sidemen Dress To Impress IRL
Everyone seemed to think “Dress To Impress IRL” was a disaster. I thought it was the funniest trainwreck of the year.
The design phase was alright, but the catwalk segment had me in stitches.
20 – Abandoned In Europe 2
Maybe it was because I was in a better mood, or maybe it was the exotic European locations, but I found this abandoned challenge more entertaining than the Ireland edition.
Harry misreading the rules was also hilarious.
19 – Come Dine With Me (2024 Edition)
A fantastic return of a classic premise.
18 – YouTuber Drunk Bingo
One of the most chaotic videos of the year – and I loved it.
17 – We Bought 10 Abandoned Storage Units And Made £___
Ethan apparently had a panic attack during filming, thinking this video was a disaster. Suffice it to say, us fans think he was wrong.
It’s lowkey and quite laid-back compared to other videos in 2024, but the banter was off the charts.
16 – Survive The Forest For 24 Hours
The most classic-feeling video of the year. Never a dull moment.
15 – YouTuber Pub Quiz
I used to host pub quizzes, so this video hit close to home. Like with the bingo, it got more chaotic (and therefore more entertaining) the drunker people got.
14 – Pop The Balloon
“Pop The Balloon” was like some of the classic Sidemen speed dating videos … but somehow even more cringe.
The Mark Henry bit almost killed me.
13 – Among Us IRL: Emergency Meeting Edition
The first (of many) Among Us IRL videos this year, and it was a banger.
The new faces were a welcome edition, and the constant backstabbing and distrust makes all of these videos a blast.
12 – Giant Box Of Lies
A slightly better version of the mystery box format.
The lying followed by the big reveals made for some engrossing content.
11/10 – Among Us In Real Life: Jester / Chaos Mode Editions
I know I criticized “KSI Masterclass” for being more of the same video, but for some reason I enjoyed both “Jester” and “Chaos Mode” editions equally.
The jester role added a neat dynamic, and everyone was on top form.
9 – You Laugh You Lose: IRL
It’s no surprise that a video designed to make the Sidemen laugh also made me laugh quite a lot.
Elite
8 – Last To Pee Wins $100,000
Strange idea for a video, but it ultimately paid off in spades.
I loved the drama and tension for every minigame, and everyone trying to break each other’s glass was top tier humour.
7 – Ultimate Hide & Seek On An Island VS 40 YouTubers
The Sidemen staged two massive Hide & Seeks in 2024, improving on the basic format massively.
While I didn’t like the island one as much as the first, it was still impressive to behold.
6 – Guess The Criminal
Ripped straight from Beta Squad.
I don’t know what was in the air that filming day, but the humour landed every single time.
5 – We Opened The Most Chaotic Restaurant Ever
I currently work as a waiter. This kind of nightmare fuel is what I have to deal with on a daily basis.
The Sidemen did far worse than I could have imagined – it was hilarious watching them deal with a couple of tables (poorly) when I’m usually overseeing about twenty!
4 – $20,000 VS $200 Winter Holiday
These big budget holiday videos always end up being near the top of my lists, and the “Winter Holiday” was no exception.
It’s a full three hours of top-tier Sidemen content.
3 – $40,000 VS $400 Holiday (Europe Edition 2)
Josh had some fun with this one – even getting the teams in the right place for “Europe Edition 2” proved a blast!
Both the cheap and expensive team had some iconic moments.
2 – Sidemen VS 40 YouTubers Ultimate Hide & Seek In A Stadium
I thought the Hide & Seek videos were a tired format, but the huge 40-person events they’ve started to hold have rejuvenated the series.
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
GOATed
1 – 20 Women VS 2 Sidemen: Angry Ginge & Danny Aarons Edition
I never suspected that Danny and Ginge would make for the best 20 V 1 (or, in this case, 20 V 2) video yet.
Their approach to every date was amazing, and their sense of humour fit the Sidemen’s perfectly. Easily the funniest video of the year.

“PARANORMASIGHT: The Mermaid’s Curse” – REVIEW
2023’s “PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries Of Honjo” came as quite the surprise to all visual novel fans. In a year full of incredible games, it still managed to cement itself as one of the best, most underrated, most unpredictable stories of recent times. Needless to say, I was excited for this year’s sequel – “The…
