The Resident Evil franchise has been around for as long as I’ve been alive, but just as I was getting into gaming (circa 2010) it started getting a reputation for mediocrity. That all changed with “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard”, and the four other major titles we’ve got since then – including mainline entries as wellContinue reading “Every Modern Resident Evil Game Ranked”

The Case of the Golden Idol – Every Level Ranked (Including DLC)
“The Case of the Golden Idol” is one of those detective / mystery / deduction games that has to be played to be believed – a bit like “Return of the Obra Dinn”. Without going into too many spoilers, the idea is that you’re following the journey of a mysterious object while solving frozen-in-time deathsContinue reading “The Case of the Golden Idol – Every Level Ranked (Including DLC)”
The Best & Worst Moment From Each Assassin’s Creed Game
The Assassin’s Creed franchise has served up a plethora of incredible moments over the years … but it’s also served up its fair share of duds too. I’ll be choosing my personal favourite and least favourite moment from all twelve mainline AC games. These aren’t necessary the best / worst missions (though there may beContinue reading “The Best & Worst Moment From Each Assassin’s Creed Game”
“The Sexy Brutale” Is Almost Great – REVIEW
While looking for my next Detective / Mystery game to play on Steam, I stumbled across a fairly cheap, moderately well-reviewed title called “The Sexy Brutale”. It’s quite a short game that revolves around a time loop gimmick, and I feel it was almost a great experience – I’ll explain what I liked about it,Continue reading ““The Sexy Brutale” Is Almost Great – REVIEW”
Arkham Trilogy – Which Game Is Best?
I recently played through the Rocksteady Arkham Trilogy (not Origins … sorry!), and was blown away by the combat and gothic presentation. I enjoyed the Batman shenanigans so much that I got to wondering – which game in the trilogy is the best? I’ll do one of my trademark Power Rankings to decide – I’llContinue reading “Arkham Trilogy – Which Game Is Best?”
Assassin’s Creed Games – Overrated / Underrated
I’ve spoken at length about what makes the Assassin’s Creed franchise so special to me, but I’d be lying if I said every entry left me satisfied. In fact, a lot of the games in this series are quite polarising. I’ll be evaluating each main game in the series against what the general public andContinue reading “Assassin’s Creed Games – Overrated / Underrated”
The Sinking City – Almost A Classic
It’s been a while since I’ve done a game review on this blog – what better way to re-start this type of post than with a game I replayed recently that nobody cares about anymore, “The Sinking City”! Frogwares are more known for their Sherlock Holmes games, so I was surprised when they released aContinue reading “The Sinking City – Almost A Classic”
Phoenix Wright Games & Cases – Overrated / Underrated
About ten years ago, I first stumbled across a little game called “Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney”. Over the decade since, my love for the franchise has only grown and grown. When you’re a fan of something for so long, you’re bound to develop a spicy opinion or two. Time to ruffle some feathers and sayContinue reading “Phoenix Wright Games & Cases – Overrated / Underrated”
Which Zero Escape Game Is Best?
I’ve been a fan of the Ace Attorney and Danganronpa series for the longest time, and one of the other visual novel franchises that kept popping up in my recommended was “Zero Escape”. After playing all three, I can finally see why. Whilst I wouldn’t necessarily hold them alongside the best games of either AceContinue reading “Which Zero Escape Game Is Best?”
NEON WHITE – Review
Neon White came quite literally out of nowhere – I’d seen a couple of random reviews on it, but it was the 99% positive rating on Steam that really piqued my interest. For a measly £20, this ended up being a worthy investment and a half. Neon White has some of the best gameplay I’veContinue reading “NEON WHITE – Review”
